Part of the Breath and Embodiment Workshop Series
Do you find yourself losing confidence on the spot despite your preparation and rehearsing? Perhaps you find it tricky to speak up for yourself in meetings or to ask for what you want or need.
This workshop teaches simple and quick techniques you can use when you need to feel calm, confident and centred. When we practice through the body, you will actually feel calmer and more confident inside. This workshop will give you much more than the usual external public speaking or confidence building tricks.
You will get practices that can help you connect with your innate authority (with kindness) and help you to be seen and recognised by building a more authentic presence.
We all have our saboteurs / inner negative voices that can block our confidence. In this workshop you can learn to identify the nagging voices that are loudest for you, and, importantly, weaken their power over your confident, curious, creative self.
This workshop is experiential – we will be using body postures, breath and movement so you can really embody your confidence instead of only talking about it .
The workshop includes creative methods and maybe at times invites us to take ourselves less seriously. Come and play with us, to discover your most confident, calm and powerful self.
Workshop outline:
- Learn to centre yourself so you can manage your state and feel more confident at all times
- Use posture and movement to explore different aspects of confidence – Being seen, Entering into the unknown, Dealing with the unexpected
- Learn to identify the different types of inner negative voices that can sabotage us, and practical tools to disempower them
- Engage your most playful and curious side to create fresh possibilities and find it easier to be seen in the world
